Nominations and voting are open as of this week. You may vote once per day, per category, for your favorite blog. You may nominate your own blog or other blogs you love. Blogs may be nominated for more than one category but SocialLuxe Lounge moderators reserve the right to remove inappropriate, duplicate or spam nominations. Bloggers need not be present at the suite to accept an award*, although we sure hope you will get to be there! Nominations will close on June 23. Voting will remain open until July 6. We will announce the 5 finalists in each category based on final number of votes. Final winner for "Swiffer's Cleanest Blog" category will be chosen by our sponsors at Swiffer. All other category winners (2 per category) with be chosen by a VIP Blogger Panel, via secret ballot. Members of SocialLuxe will not participate in voting in the final round.
BlogLuxe award winners will be notified privately between July 6th and 10th. Public announcement of the winners and presentation of the awards will take place at the Swiffer SocialLuxe Lounge event.
* Actual award has no cash value. The goal of the BlogLuxe awards is to encourage recognition amongst peers.

These are wonderful categories. I would suggest a few others because sometimes it’s hard to know which category to select. I suggest Best Woman’s Health Issues blog; Best Mothering Blog as well. But overall – a great, great idea!
Several people have commented to me that the “Vote” buttons don’t appear in their browsers. I haven’t had a problem myself (using firefox 3.07 on Windows XP/XP Pro) so I don’t know much more than that. If there had only been one, I’d think it was a meatware problem, but there’ve probably been a half dozen or so that have commented to me. Just thought you should know.
Thanks a ton for bringing this to our attention. We did some testing, but you never know for sure how a site will do until lots of good people pound on it! We’ve looked in to the problem and made some modifications. We think we’ve fixed the problem.
I would just like to share a portion of a comment I received after posting the award nomination to my blog. It is from a man that obviously does not understand the uphill battle that women (especially ones that put their families first) face everyday in establishing themselves as an authority & taken seriously by business world.
Hey, Sponsors. I’m delighted my blog was nominated, but when someone hovers over my blog name on the list, the name of my blog is misspelled in the link, so the link doesn’t work. I’ve emailed you ladies twice about this & still have not gotten a response, nor has the issue been fixed. Can y’all please address this — soon? This nice experience is starting to turn into a not-so-nice one the longer this drags on.
And a multitude of votes for Mary as the writer of the funniest blog-”Pajamas and Coffee”.
A reader emailed us and informed us that she nominated our blog in a few different catagories. How will we know when our blog has been added for voting?
