The 2009 SocialLuxe Lounge had so much amazing energy, we wanted to channel that energy to do some good this year. We are happy to announce that our official charity is Drop In & Decorate, a non-profit founded by the amazing food blogger Lydia Walshin. Drop In & Decorate's ultimate goal is to spread happiness...through cookies. We love the simplicity of the idea and the amazing good that this organization does.
PLEASE make sure to 'drop in' at the Drop In & Decorate booth at the party so that you can learn more about this awesome organization and learn how you can support their cause. Here's a little more information:
- Look for the cookie heads at the party!
- Pick up your free copy of Drop In & Decorate's brand new COOKIE IDEA BOOK, with ideas for cookies you can make and decorate at home.
- Take a minute to design a cookie (on paper) - every cookie you design at the Avery SocialLuxe Lounge will be baked, decorated and donated to the CENTER AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OF NEW YORK, which serves women and children of New York City by providing emergency shelter and safe housing, and support services, for survivors of domestic violence.
- Learn how to host your own Drop In & Decorate® event and benefit people in your home community!
- You can help bring a moment of joy to a child or mom living in a shelter or facing everyday challenges that most of us will never experience. Design a cookie. Make someone's day a happier day.
